Having trouble with some mods

Ok. i have a few questions.
1. When i try to mod (Most mods), i open up the zip file, but in the downloaded file, there is no flmm zip archive to get the mod exe to the flmm. there are only a file called "script". when i open it, it opens a web browser and shows me a bunch of programming stuff. Where is the mod archive? If the "script" file is the mod archive, how do i change it into an exe so that i can play the mod?

p.s. all the files are from lancers reactor.com.

Um... you're not supposed to open .flmm files with your unzipping utility... right-click on the file, select "open with"... and find FLMM's listing in your programs... and then check "always open this type of file with". FLMM will do the rest.

And that "webpage stuff" you're referring to is the mod's code in FLMM format.

Grrr SO HARD!!! So explain this to me again. I dont unzip the file? I click the still zipped file and open it with my flmm program?

Is that correct?

Yep, that's it, nothing complex at all. the .zip.flmmod designation is meant to be self-extracting once Freelancer Mod Manager has been installed. If by double clicking on it goes to your own zip program rather than to Mod Manager, just follow Argh's simple instructions above will solve the problem.
