MP without mods?

Although I have been around here for a while and have played the game for years I have only just got broad band. I'm looking to try my hand at some online gaming.

Are there any well reccommended multi player games that run on the SP format?

The reason for asking is that while on diall up I never bothered to download any mods and I don't fancy having to learn too much new game content in order to try my hand online so perhaps a mod that does not require too much extra effort would suffice.

Any little helpers for Druid the Christmas?

if u go to Freelancer Global Rankings there is a list of the best FL server, on the list it tells u which mod it runs if there is one, the ones with - next to mod means u dont have to use one its just plain freelancer so take a look on there

Cheers Brad! That looks useful.*walks off scratching chin and pondering, should I just close my eyes and click on a linky or will this be a semi-logical choice...hmmm*

Actually there is a link in there which I was previously invited to and have just been reminded of. It needs a mod download but I would like to show my appreciation for the invite. Perhaps?
